Recently, according to data from Social Media Family in Spain, Instagram’s users decreased for the first time compared to the previous year. The number of TikTok users continues to grow at a double-digit rate.
TikTok was originally an application for music short films and funny videos, but now it has successfully attracted the attention of millions of users worldwide in a short period of time. The platform has over 1 billion monthly active users, making it an excellent opportunity for brands to reach a wide and diverse audience.
According to a report by Social Media Home, in Spain in 2023, the number of users aged 18 and above was 18.84 million, with a possible increase of 22.1 million minors.
In terms of gender, 56.96% of TikTok users are female, while 43.04% are male. The topics that TikTok users in Spain are most interested in are “news and entertainment”, “personal services”, and “beauty and personal care”.
The number of Instagram users decreased by 0.83% year-on-year for the first time, with Granada, Barcelona, and Valencia being the cities with the most users in Spain.
LinkedIn has 900 million users worldwide, making it the seventh largest social platform and an important reference in Spanish society. It has 17 million personal data, an increase of 2 million compared to last year, with an annual growth rate of 13.33%.
In terms of gender and age, the majority of the audience is between the ages of 25 and 34, accounting for 55% of the user. As for gender, nearly 49% of users are male, 43.53% are female, and 7.65% of users have uncertain gender.
